Part of a gathered active assembly

When celebrating Mass, we ALL  come together as a holy people and join Christ, crucified and risen, in his offering of praise and thanksgiving to God the Father.

God has called us to share in his life and we have chosen to say yes to his invitation.

We believe in celebrating Mass that we have the opportunity of meeeting Christ himself:

  • in the gathered assembly as he promised that 'whenever two or three gather in my name I am with them';
  • in the proclamation of the scriptures;
  • in the ministry of the priest who presides at the Liturgy in the person of Christ himself;
  • in the Eucharist, the bread and wine that has become his Body and Blood.

Called to Serve

Preparing the Prayer of the Faithful

First of all, then, I urge that suplications, prayers, intercessions and thansgiving be made for everyone...

                    1 Timothy 2:1

Office of Sacristan

A Sacristan is a member of the parish with a deep reverence and understanding of the significance of the Church's Liturgy, sacraments and guidelines.

Ministry of Altar Server

There is a long tradition of Altar Servers in the Church. It requires one to be alert and to be able to move in away that enhances the celebration without distraction!

Ministry of Welcome

Whoever welcomes you welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.

                     Matthew 10:40

Musicians and their ministry

There is an old proverb "one who sings well, prays twice!"  Liturgical song should correspond to the spirit of the Liturgical action and foster the participation of all the faithful.

Proclaiming the Word

God speaks to the assembly through our readers, and the impact of God's message will depend significantly on their conviction, their preparation and their delivery.

Extra-ordinary Minister of Communion

As we receive from this altar the sacred Body and Blood of your Son, let us be filled with every grace and blessing.

                                       Eucharistic Prayer 1

Children's Liturgy of the Word

'Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.'

                                                        Mark 10:13
